What is a Ticket Broker?
A Ticket Broker sells tickets for market value. Initially, agencies (such as Ticketmaster, Tickets.com, or the venue box office) sell tickets at "face value" (the price printed on the ticket) plus service charges that are added on by the primary seller. We specialize in obtaining and providing customers with seats that are in high demand or otherwise unavailable, such as sold-out or premium tickets.
We obtain tickets in a variety of ways. However, a common misconception is that we buy "blocks" of tickets (if we were able to do this, we would have a much easier time obtaining tickets for you, our client). Instead, we have to find and purchase tickets from other sources such as season ticket holders and individuals with extra tickets for events (if you have extra tickets please let us know, as we buy tickets from our clients as well). Like other people, we will pay prices much higher than the face value in order to obtain the tickets from the ticket holder. We then sell the tickets at the market price. The market price fluctuates, which means sometimes we must sell tickets for below what we paid, but most of the time market demand sets the prices above what we paid (meaning higher than face value and sometimes significantly higher than the face value).
